A logo for a non-profit organization that is being started by a few of my friends. At first they wanted a more literal illustration of a bridge. I went a little more abstract, but for good reason. The thin slanted arc symbolizes a lot in logo design. It can symbolize a bridge, but also the curving light on the edge of the earth, or a line between far away places. So it has more ties to the connection between the organization and Myanmar. It’s also simple enough to use across all platforms (web, print, shirts, signs, badges, etc).
This is a book concept created as a class project. The goal was to use a music album’s title and artist as the title and author of a book, and then create a concept for the story and use it to inform the design of the book. I used Winter Forever by Seahaven, a band I love and consider good friends, for this concept. I gave it a bleak, dreary feel and came up with a dark, hopeless story to go with it. All photography by me, taken at Pinecrest in 2008. I love this design. FOR SALE if anyone wants this as their own book design.
